Job Description: Commercial Project Manager (Construction)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary Range: $100,000 to $125,000 annually
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Project Manager with a strong background in construction to oversee and deliver commercial construction projects in the Sacramento area. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has hands-on expertise in managing projects from conception to completion. Candidates with a background in technical project management are not suited for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and deliver commercial construction projects on time, within scope, and budget.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues promptly, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and reports.
- Conduct regular site visits to oversee construction activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Lead project meetings, provide updates to stakeholders, and address concerns proactively.
- Manage change orders, project documentation, and contracts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial construction project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
Education and Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- PMP certification or equivalent (preferred but not required).
